Why this one
We’re opening with the first woman, and the oldest lie ever told about her. Marmery takes Lilith out of Eden — where she’s banished for refusing to lie beneath Adam — and follows her through six thousand years of history, hunting for the goddess who was written out alongside her. It’s furious and it’s funny and it argues with scripture on scripture’s own terms.
Get it however you like — library, secondhand, e-reader, already on your shelf. What we mail you is everything around the book: the art, the writing, the small things that make a month of reading feel like an occasion.

How it works

Order by September 30
The shop is open from the 1st to the last day of the month. Pre-ordering is how we know exactly how many to make — nothing is mass-produced ahead of time.

She makes and packs the batch
Prints are pulled, writing is typed, envelopes are stuffed and sealed by hand. This is the week where the kitchen table stops being a kitchen table.

Everything ships October 2
One batch, one trip to the post office. It travels as ordinary stamped mail — 5–14 days in the US, 2–6 weeks internationally, and no tracking number.
Real mail is a little unpredictable — that’s the trade for something that costs a stamp instead of a shipping label. If yours hasn’t turned up three weeks after the ship date, write to us and we’ll send another.
The reading room
There’s a Discord, and it’s free — anyone can come in, lurk, and see what the month’s book is. Order a mailer and you get the Subscriber role, which opens the discussion channels.

Questions
Do I get the book?
No — and that keeps the price where it is. We announce the book at the start of the month so you can borrow it, buy it secondhand, or read it on whatever's already in your bag. The envelope is everything that goes around the reading.
Is this a recurring subscription?
No. Each month is a separate one-time order, so you can sit one out when the book isn't for you and come back the next. Nothing auto-charges.
When does my mail actually arrive?
Everything for September 2026 goes out in one batch on October 2. In the US, expect 5–14 days after that. Internationally, 2–6 weeks. It's stamped mail, so there's no tracking number to watch.
Why do orders close at the end of the month?
Because everything is made by hand in one run. A firm cutoff is what makes it possible to know exactly how many prints to pull and how many envelopes to fill.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes — international postage is a flat $5. It takes longer and, again, travels untracked.
How do I find my order later?
Your confirmation email has a permanent link to it. You can also look it up any time with the email address you ordered with — no password, and it works whether or not you made an account.
What if it never shows up?
Write to us three weeks after the ship date and we'll put another in the mail. Real mail occasionally eats things; that's on us, not you.
