Write to us. We like mail.

One person reads everything that comes in, which is why it takes a couple of days and why you never get a ticket number.

Before you write about an order

Two things save a round trip: the email address you ordered with, and roughly when you ordered. You can also look your order up yourself — no password, and it works whether or not you made an account.

What people usually write about

  • “It hasn’t arrived.” Give it three weeks past the ship date, then write — I’ll mail a replacement. See refunds and replacements.
  • “I need to change my address.” Easy before the month closes, impossible after it’s posted, so tell me quickly.
  • “Can I buy a past volume?” No — each month is made once, in one run, and then it’s gone. The card catalog is the only place they still exist.
  • “Do you do wholesale or bulk?” Not really, but ask. Book clubs ordering together is a thing I can usually work out.
  • “I want to send you a book to read.” Please do. This is the best email to get.

How long it takes

A couple of days most of the time. The slowest week of every month is the one right after orders close, because that’s when the kitchen table stops being a kitchen table. If something is genuinely urgent, say so in the subject line and it’ll get pulled to the top.
